Letter from Coach Greeley
Aug 19, 2012, 6:05 pm

First i wish to congratulate the rangers for a great come from behind win today...second i need to apologize to the the rangers...the league and most importantly to my team the blue claws for how i acted...i was classless and wrong in my reaction to the loss today. the blue claws played with heart and character all year and in the end made me proud to be their captain but i didn't show that. i am deeply sorry for my actions for walking off the field and i am embarrassed for it. i hope you the rangers...the league and especially my team will accept my humble apology.

Sean Greeley

Rangers and Blue Claws advance to Championship series.
Aug 12, 2012, 4:22 pm

Both divisions required doubleheaders today. The Blue Claws, tied with the best regular season record, quickly grabbed the lead in game 1 and forced a deciding game with a 15-6 win. The 2nd game followed a similar script, and after the Scrappers tied the game at 3 in the 2nd inning, the Blue Claws grabbed a 9-3 lead after 3 and never looked back in a 19-7 win and a ticket to the championship series. In Division 1, the Rangers had a 7-1 lead after 3 innings but the Rivercats erupted in the 5th for a 10-7 lead which held up over the last couple innings again forcing a deciding game. In the title tilt, the Rangers again grabbed a 5 run lead in the 1st and 3rd innings but kept the Rivercats down this time 8-3 for a chance to win 2 in a row.
