Week 2 odds are now posted.

Oh yeah, and Dr. C made his Week 2 predictions also... though you'd probably make more Monopoly money using this...

Game of the Week, Seadogs @ Yankees
Mar 22, 2013, 6:08 pm

"We just want to win. That's the bottom line. I think a lot of times people may become content with one championship or a little bit of success, but we don't really reflect on what we've done in the past. We focus on the present." - D.J (Michael Hickey), Yankees

"Although the sea dogs are 2-0. I look forward to our showdown to prove the Yankees are the dominant team this year and his early trade was a big mistake. The Hauf doesn't always know." - Justin Reed (not bitter), Yankees

"What an honor (your honor) to play in the 2nd Game of the Week of the 2013 season! Competing against Hauf's Hammerin' SeaDogs is always a pleasure as our battles usually come down to the last out. Two undefeated teams with pride on the line... It's no wonder that this game Sold Out in just ten minutes!" -Larry Farin, Yankees Captain

"I was told I was originally drafted by the Yankees and subsequently traded for a Fungo bat and three tubes of Tiger Balm. I'm certain Sunday will prove that to be a fairly inspired move." -Greg Hurst, Seadogs

"TROY HATE BALL! TROY SMASH! TROY HATE YANKEES! TROY SMASH!" -Troy (Hulk?) Steele, Seadogs

"I look forward to the early season challenge of this divisional game.  It's important we take control of Farin's team and shut them down early and this time Farin's team won't have any last inning heroics like last year.  Their LCF will probably make their last out." -John Hauf, Seadogs Captain

Game of the Week-- Rangers @ Storm
Mar 15, 2013, 3:28 pm

Silverman's Rangers will brave visiting Casper's Storm

Entering into my 10th year in the "Shalom League," it's always exciting as the first regular season double header gets underway. It is all the more special to know that our team is featured to play in the Game of the Week on Opening Day--Andy Goodman, Rangers

Excited to hear that the game will be announced - a first for me! Doug Wedemeyer (Rookie), Rangers

Thoughts on the game of the week. As new members of the two time defending laundry, break out the bunting, the smell of the grass and the grunts and groans will be a plenty. We keep calm make the routine plays, keep the walks at a minimum and get timely hitting from all, all will be ok. Looking forward to either BP from Wayne or a Jerry's kids walk a thon. Scott Lawrence, Rangers

What a special treat and honor to be in the opener…..homage to the two-time consecutive defending champs. Nice touch from our fine commissioner. The excitement of a new season, new players, new friendships, new hope, and all on display to a SRO crowd….Wow, I hope it doesn’t go to our heads!!  Storm looks like a tough squad and we will have to be at our best to eek out a W.--Larry Silverman, Captain, Rangers.

"If we score more points than the other team we might have a chance to win"--Tony Fant (Rookie), Storm.

"I am excited for the new season and to play the 2 time defending champion Rangers. It is one of the exciting new aspects of the development of the league. Surprised Larry S didn't pick a LCF this year."--Wayne Casper, Commissioner, Storm.

"After playing several close games with the Rangers last year, including the opening game of the week and the closing (for us) divisional championship, I can't really overstate how much I want to win on Sunday."--Kyle Casper, Captain, Storm

Schedule update--note from webmaster
Mar 15, 2013, 9:15 am

The schedule, as you can imagine, has been a monumental task this year with 18 teams spread across 2 conferences and 3 divisions such that each division and conference has an odd number of teams. The schedule is mostly finished at this point, with divisional, inter-conference, and intra-conference logic established. The steps left are:

1. Normalize home and away games across the 3 separate types of games for each team

2. Assign the remaining 8 games of the week

3. Assign fields in as accomodating a manner as possible

4. Upload the file to the website

This should be done today. Thanks for your patience.

Kyle
