POW  Rick Rosen, tripled and scored game-tying run in game 1 and doubled in game 2

ROW Tim Barnes, 3-3 plus two walks and a sac fly

Twins

POW Mark Winnie 4-5, 4 rbi's, Sac, 2 runs scored

A's

POW Jason Murray 5-7, 2 doubles and a 3 run HR. 5 runs scored, solid defense in RCF and some fancy base running

ROW Mark Livesay 5-8, double, 3 run HR, 5 runs scored, 7 rbi's

Muckdogs

POW Thomas Kulcak, 5-7, 3B, 2B, 4 Runs, 4 RBIs, including bases loaded 2B in game 1 to break open a tight game, great playing in LCF including throwing out a runner at the plate.

ROW Gary Sanders, 5-7, 3B, 3 runs, 4 RBIs. Got an RBI in every AB in game 1 to help lead team to victory.

Express

POW Harlan Davis. 6 for 6. 2 doubles. 5 runs including the game winner vs Red Wings!

Indians

Pow and Row goes to Mitch Johnson who went 6/6 on the day with 2 fence home runs, 1 double and 3 singles and 5 RBI

Lugnuts

POW Andy Goodman: 6 for 7 (AVG: .857), 2 2B (SLG: 1.143, OB%: .857)

POW Steve Enda 5-5, 3 runs, 2 RBI, double, 1bb and solid defense in RCF.

Knights

POW David Shaw 6-6, 2 2Bs, 2 fence HRs (including game tying in nightcap), 5 runs, 4  RBIs, game ending catch both games, for streaking 10 wins in a row Knights!

ROW Adam Schor 3-6, 3 run HR, 5 RBIs, excellent defense for streaking Knights

ROW Rick Hudak 5-6 ,2 2b, 1 3b, 8 rbi’s. Great D at 1b all day long.

POW Jon Banta 7-7 2 2b, 3b, HR 4 rbi’s, 7 runs scored, stellar pitching and highlight reel catch.

Great Turnout For Todays Veterans game

First lets start by thanking all of the fans that stuck around to watch our veterans put on an impressive offensive display.

 

Rakofsky's Retirees jumped out to a quick 10 to 1 lead after the 1st almost batting through their entire 16 man lineup. Unell's Has beens and Never weres put up a modest 8 runs throughout the 7 inning tilt however it was no match for the 28 run onslaught that the Retirees ended up with.

Some hitting stars for Rakofsky were

Larry Taub 3 for 4  with a 3B
Steve Enda 2 for 3 with a 2B a HR and   3 RBI
Bill Walter 2 for 2 with a BB, 2B and a 3B   2 RBI
David Pinkus 3 for 3 with a 3B   3 RBI
Jack Borentstein 2 for 2 with BB and 2 1B   2 RBI

And Unells Stars were

Brad London 3 for 3 2 1B and a 2B
Rob Zane 2 for 2    2 2B   2RBI
Michael Barth 2 for 2 1B and a 3B   1RBI

Red Wings

 

POW:  Lee McDonald 5-7 on the day.  He accounted for 5 RBI in a 7-5 win over the Sea Dogs, with 3 coming on a bomb in the first inning that will give Hauf nightmares.

 

ROW:  Red Wings nominate Jack Borenstein as the reason for the Yanks' victory, as he had two walks and a single.  The only time we got him out was his second at bat of the sixth inning, when he probably got out on purpose for clock management.

 

A’s

POW- Robert Shiller 5-7, double, grand slam HR, 5 runs, 4 rbi's

 

ROW- Mark Livesay 4-6, 2 fence HR's, 6 rbi's

 

Express

Travis Massey. Spectacular glove at 1B. 4 hits. 1 2B. His D helped secure the win in game 2 vs the Yanks

Knights
