Temple Shalom Tournament July 6th Be Sure To Sign Up Today

With the large success of the previous Temple Shalom Tournament we are pleased to announce we will be hosting another tournament on July 6th at Heritage Yards in Plano. If you want to sign up go to the 2014 Player Application tab, enter in your name, team your on, position and contact info. Registration is $20 and needs to be played before you play your first game the weekend of the tournament.

The MINI playoffs will be a single elimination match against all the teams that were not the two division winners. The top 4 seed teams in the minis will have a one game bye. They will only need to win one game to advance to the playoffs. They will face the winners of the remaining 8 teams that play at 8 a.m.

If the Mini's started today this is what it would look like.

Phillips' Bombers take 1st Tournament title! Next tournament announced soon!

In a great day for TSBS, the inaugural tournament was played today, Saturday, May 17th under beautiful skies. In the Round Robin, Ransom's Rattlers earned the 1 seed with a 6-5 win over Phillips' Bombers, nipped Lawrence's Lumberjacks 4-2 and tied Hurst's Wolverines 8-8. The Lumberjacks nipped the Wolverines 13-12 and lost to the Bombers 15-12. The Bombers also beat the Wolverines 15-3 to clinch the 2 seed.

In the elimination round, the 4th seeded Wolverines upset the Rattlers 14-9. The eventual champions rallied for a walk off win 12-11 over the Lumberjacks. In the title tilt, the Bombers again rallied for a 12-11 win. The atmosphere, comraderie and competition made for a great day at Heritage and soon there will be an announcement for the next Saturday tournament. Congratulations to all, especially the Bombers.
