Goldstein's Nationals
With the wind blowing in on Field 1 both games, Doug Storm (the Nationals’ Player of the Week) and Eric Powers (the Nationals’ Rookie of the Week) help lead the Nationals to an opening week sweep. Hitting into the wind, Storm was 5-5 with a triple, 4 singles, a BB. He added 3 RBIs and scored twice. Doug also played hit typically solid third base. Eric Powers went 3-6 with a 3B, 2B and a 1B, with 4 RBIs and 3 runs. The two out triple to the fence against the wind in the 6th inning of game 2 was a key hit in the Nationals’ comeback victory. Eric also made several outstanding plays in the outfield and at 1B.

Lachman's Royals
POWTroy Steele:  6 - 8, 4 Runs, 8 RBIs, 2 Fence HRs, stellar defense in RCF
ROWBen Enlow:   3 - 7, 3 Runs, 1 RBI, BB, Fence HR

Roth's Indians
